The weaving process starts with wool that is either left undyed or is dyed using natural materials. The natural dye process has been passed down for generations and it includes using stone tools to grind local plants. Once the wool is dyed and spun by hand, a large wooden loom is used to weave each rug. It takes around 2-3 weeks to make a 2'x3'ft rug.
