This unexpected accessory serves as both function and art in your home. Woven completely by hand, this piece is created by a talented women artisans from the Eperara Siapidara indigenous community. Originally from Gaupi, a small town on the Pacific Coast of Colombia, this artisan collective of women currently live in Bogota, after being displaced by political conflict. Recently, their designs were featured in Milan Design Week.

Maria & Laura are a mother-daughter duo from Bogota, Colombia. Together they founded a women’s collective with a vision to create beautiful and versatile homeware and accessories that celebrate the vibrancy and richness of their home country. Maria and Laura aim to support Colombian artisans by blending their traditional and wonderful craftsmanship with a modern design. Maria and Laura work closely with weaving cooperatives around Colombia to co-create each design and product.
